Your day-by-day itinerary

  1. Guwahati → Shillong

    Meet at Guwahati airport or station and drive to Shillong via Umiam Lake. Water sports are optional. Check in and explore Police Bazaar in the evening.

  2. Laitlum Canyons & Krang Suri Falls

    Visit Laitlum Canyons and Krang Suri Falls, then return to Shillong after lunch at your own cost. Any water activities depend on local permission and safe conditions.

  3. Mawsynram & Mawphlang Sacred Forest

    Explore Mawsynram, Mawphlang Sacred Grove and the Khasi model village. Respect the grove’s rule against removing anything from the forest. Visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak on the return route as time allows.

  4. Shillong → Mawlynnong → Dawki → Cherrapunjee

    Explore Mawlynnong village, its Sky Walk and Khasi village life. Walk to the living root bridge at nearby Rewai, then continue to Dawki and the Umngot River for a country-boat excursion and views towards the Bangladesh border. Boating and local visits depend on conditions. Carry a packed lunch if needed.

  5. Cherrapunjee sights or Nongriat trek

    Choose sightseeing at Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Thangkharang Park, or a full-day trek to the Nongriat double-decker root bridge. The trek involves around 3,200 steps each way; Rainbow Falls is a further optional extension.

  6. Cherrapunjee → Guwahati

    Drive to Guwahati after breakfast, check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or shopping.

  7. Guwahati heritage & riverfront

    Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Kamakhya Temple and the Heritage Museum. Browse local markets, with an optional evening Brahmaputra cruise on direct payment, subject to river conditions and availability.

    After breakfast, check out and transfer to Guwahati airport or railway station for your onward journey.

The package guide suggests a commercial sedan such as a Dzire, Indigo or Xcent for up to 3 guests; an Innova, Xylo or similar MUV for 4–6; and a Tempo Traveller for 7–20. Luggage carriers and preferred push-back seating are subject to availability. Confirm the actual vehicle and luggage capacity in your quotation.

Package arrangements & quotation

This itinerary sets out the planned route, sightseeing and overnight locations. Exact hotels, meals, transfers, safari permits, entry fees and activity charges will be itemised in your quotation. No package price is published; request a quote for your dates and group.

Optional activities & extra costs

Activities marked optional or on direct payment are separate unless explicitly included in your quotation. These may include Brahmaputra cruises, additional boating, cultural shows, water sports or extensions. Flights, personal expenses and any other exclusions will be confirmed before booking.

Before you travel

  • Carry rain protection and appropriate footwear for waterfall visits and steep root-bridge walks.
  • Arrival-day sightseeing and departure-day temple visits depend on flight times. Museum visits, ferries and river cruises depend on opening schedules, water levels and availability.
